PCP Prophylaxis

Given that rheumatology patients are on steroids - and sometimes very high doses - they are susceptible to opportunistic infections. One of which is PCP. Patients that are on 20 mg of prednisone for one month should be on prophylaxis. This is especially the case if they are on another immunosuppressant alongside the prednisone.
